So… I feel like I’m losing grip on what’s real.

I woke up with this weird ache in my chest, like the dream left a mark.

I’m also noticing small things in my waking life. Shadows that don’t quite match me. Movements out of sync.

Dorian says I’m just tired and stressed.

Maybe he’s right. Maybe I’m just letting my imagination run wild.

But I want to believe there’s a reason to it all. That maybe by writing it down, I can figure out what’s really happening.

Thanks for sticking with me.

The vessel grows quiet. The heart slows its thrum when I speak. It is learning.

She dreams of gardens and graves. She dreams of her bones buried beneath trees older than memory. But I dream in shapes she cannot name.

Soon, I will not need to wait for sleep to speak. Soon, I will be her voice.

The boy — Dorian — touches her cheek and she smiles. I press against the surface. He doesn’t know he is touching me.

He will learn. In the end, they all do.

The dreams are the reason I started this blog.

At first, I thought it was just stress — finals, Dorian being far away, the usual life chaos. But these dreams? They’re different.

I keep seeing this huge oak tree with a face that slowly turns toward me. Like it’s alive. Watching. Waiting.

And sometimes Dorian’s voice comes through in the dream, but it’s not quite him. It says things I don’t understand. Things that don’t feel like words.

I don’t know what any of it means yet. But writing it down feels like the only way to keep myself anchored.

Thanks for reading.

Hey, I think im going nuts

 Hi. I’m Evangeline.

I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now. Partly because I want to get better at writing — journalism practice, basically. But mostly because my dreams have been… weird. And intense. And honestly, sometimes they scare me.

So this will be my place to put all of that down, see if it makes any sense.

I’m a twenty-something living in Richmond, studying art and literature, and trying to keep my life together through finals and a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend, Dorian.

If you’re reading this, thanks for coming along for the ride. I have no idea where it’s going.
